Very tall, forest-like, formations dominated by Erica arborea, Myrica faya, Arbutus canariensis or Visnea mocanera, occurring naturally in the most wind-exposed and the driest stations within the "monte verde" of the Canary Island cloud belt; they also occur extensively as degradation stages of the Laurus woodland G2.3 or as secondary colonists.
